Miles Nielsen & The Rusted Hearts – Southgate House Revival

My friend Jake introduced me to this band via a mutual friend (Dave McClellan) who plays bass in The Rusted Hearts. The Rusted Hearts back up Miles Nielsen (son of Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen) who leads them through a set of alt-country tinged rock. With a band as talented as this group of gentlemen it’s easy to overdo it and end up complicating things too much just because you can. Instead they exercise restraint and taste as they mix catchy guitar riffs and lush harmonies to create some absolutely stunning songs.
