Bunbury Music Festival 2014

DAY 1

• Favorite moment: Dead Sara owning the Warsteiner Stage
• Least favorite moment: Veruca Salt.  I was not at all impressed by their return.  Lackluster and bland.  A bummer, because I was looking forward to them.
• Best show of the day: Cage The Elephant.  Man, these guys have some serious energy!
  
• Best new discovery (for me): Goldwing
  
• Best surprise: The absolute spectacle that was the Empire Of The Sun stage show.

DAY 2

• Favorite moment: Seeing Kishi Bashi with a full band for the first time
• Least favorite moment: Cults set.  An odd fit for the main stage.  I get that they have a few hits, but the energy was nonexistent.
• Best show of the day: Caspian.  These guys proved that instrumental music does not equal boring.
  
• Best new discovery (for me): Miner
  
• Best surprise: Discovering a new local band that I really enjoyed, Brent James and The Vintage Youth

DAY 3

• Favorite moment: Being so close to the action on stage that myself and a few photographers were actually getting hit with the streamers that Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips was swinging around.
• Least favorite moment: Last second restrictions to shoot certain bands who shall go unnamed.
• Best show of the day: Flaming Lips.  I betcha didn’t see that one coming!
  
• Best new discovery (for me): Miner
  
• Best surprise: Discovering a new local band that I really enjoyed, Brent James and The Vintage Youth
